Very good work. There is a nice, eerie atmosphere thing going on.

I really like this piece a lot. I could definitely hear this in a movie or soundtrack of some kind. Nice work. (I left more on Soundcloud.)

The vocal is great! I love it. I would love to know how you got such a beautiful sound, that seems distant, but still present and the note transients aren't there...it's like she's just sliding to notes but in a good way...wow.
 
Mix & stuff wise, I feel like the composition is a little conflicted. There's a lot going on - seems to me like there's a lot of good parts but they aren't totally in concert to lead you to the focal point...for me, I want the voice to be the focal point, but I find my ears jumping from the strings, to the voice to the horns?
 
Just a little too much all at once for me - but the composition is excellent.

A lot going on for sure but it's all good. Very pro sounding (to my ears).  Yes, as mentioned, a backdrop to some video/animation. The vocal adds so much "theater" to the piece - great job.

This is very nice Tim. Pleasantly drifting and melodic, and it builds very gracefully. Perfect choice of sounds. I'm just heading to the forest for a long walk, I'll keep an eye open...

You did your job well, took me to just the feeling you described. This indeed would make a great soundtrack to a Trilogy movie or the opening sequence to a video game maybe. Very good recording/mix. I'm impressed you did all of this with no midi involved.
