I used V-Vocal a year or so ago and it me to get a fretless bass more in pitch.
I now have a reason to use it again and I can not seem to get so that I can create a V-Vocal clip....the menu is always grey.
Went back throught the docs and a couple of videos and I can't figure out why I can't make a v-vocal clip

Any suggestions?

Make sure the clip you're going to correct is highlighted and that you're on the correct track.  You should be able to press Shift + V to open VV.

Make sure you highlight the clip first then create v-vocal clip.

Highlighted....correct track....S+V does not open V-Vocal.
Rt-Click on the track V-Vocal\all options are grey, or V-Vocal Menu all items are greyed out.

Maybe take a few screen shots of the clips you're working on and the menu. Might show something that isn't obvious to you but is to others. This website makes screenshots REALLY easy:

http://snag.gy/

Check this folder too (or the appropriate folder where you installed SONAR if different)

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\VVocal

Make sure VVocal is actually installed!!! Run a plug-in scan at the folder that it is installed at if it ain't. Run the SONAR installer again and select ONLY VVocal to install as maybe it's not installed or corrupted itself.

You may be on to something ... The right structure (C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\VVocal) is in my plugin manager and there are a couple of files and a folder in the v-vocal folder....v-vocal does not show up in the plugin manager....

Can't seem to figure out how to get screenshots into this post using this interface....

thanks

It sounds like the plugin may not be registered by SONAR. In the preferences "rescan VST plugins" and see if it shows up. I am not sure the actual name of the file, but if it still does not appear, I would search for the actual file next. If have it, can add that path to the VST plugins, if not, may need to reinstall *just* that effect.

Thank you!! Cronus.dll is in the C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared DXi folder for me... for scanning VST plugins, it will search subdirectories automatically... my VST search is set to C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\ and C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\ only.
