that's right: i have downloaded the drumagog trial version, put it in the vst folder, made the vst scan - and the sonar x1 does not show the drumagog vst. all other plugins in this folder are sown and listed, but drumagog not. am i missing out on soemthing with this vst? thanks - tom

Make sure the dll of that plugin is in the folder sonar is scanning or change it to its location. 

Also, make sure you installed the correct version (32bit or 64bit)

dear cjay, thanks for your answer. I - for the fun of it - opened my old sonar x1 LE (instead of my X1 studio), and there it was: I need to activate the vst by challenge/response... so at least something happened. oddly enough, nothing appeared when opening x1 studio... but now I am stuck with this challenge/response - i registered / logged on to drumagog.org, but could not find any way to activate this challenge/response thing... have I mentioned that modern technology can be heaven, but also be hell?
