Looking forward to getting X2 up and running!
Getting error message:  Please download and run previous packages.

I have disabled Norton Internet Anti Virus by checking disable to:  "Anti Virus Auto Check" "Firewall" and "Silent Mode" features.
I am logged in to Windows 7 as administrator.
I used Chrome download manager and when I right click on 02_Sonar_X2_Producer.part1.exe and use Run as an administrator as recommended in Sonar X2 Download Installation Instructions, the program runs and produces a package review and download appears to have run successfully followed by a prompt to download   02_Sonar_X2_Producer.part2.exe

When I attempt to download 02_Sonar_X2_Producer.part2.exe  the same way I get an error message:   "Please download and run previous packages."

What should I do?

Actually,  part1.exe does run the package review, then extracts the files, and the window that follows indicates 02_SONAR_X2-Producer.part3 in the upper border of an error window with "!Pease download and run previous packages" in the error box.

I get the same result on part2.exe or part3.exe downloads.

I'm don't know if this is related, but I just wrote this in another thread :

"I've just experienced the situation where my Norton Internet Security will blatantly delete the "01_Read_This_First.exe" file of the X2 download as a dangerous file. I've had to set its properties to read only or else Norton just keeps deleting it."

Perhaps you're experiencing the same problem ? Do you have this file in your folder ? If not, you'll have to download it again.

I wonder what Norton doesn't like about this file...

Yes, I still have the 01_Read_This_First.exe in the download manager window of Chrome.  I do get an installation shield window upon execution of part.2exe that asks if I want this program to make changes to my computer, and I check "yes".

This does seam odd as I have done all I know how to do to disable Norton.  Could be another anti virus utility doing this.  I noticed I have "Spybot - Search & Destroy" and "CCleaner", and I could remove them In control panel and reinstall them later.

I removed Spybot and CCleaner but still have the same trouble.

I want to thank Paul P for his reply.  Not sure what was wrong, but I deleted all the downloads and re downloaded the first 4 part download, then executed part1 and part 2 automatically executed this time. I think I may have attempted to execute part1 initially before completing the downloads of 2, 3, and 4.

I did set the "01_Read_This_First.exe" to read only as Paul P suggested as well.

Thanks

Glad to hear things are working, thought I don't think I had anything to do with it :-)

If your Norton doesn't complain about the 01 file you might as well put the permissions back the way they were.

You probably just had a bad download.

Yea, I set them back the way they were.  Just looking at the new interface is pretty exciting!  Finishing the other downloads now.  Can't wait to get going.

Lot of new stuff going from 8.5 to X2 I imagine.  What do you like the most about it?

I see we have X2a now.  Should I be looking for an upgrade to Dimension Pro 1.5?
