The update extends the Gentleman's Edition with support for external
sidechain input, a new INERTIA timing mode inspired by mechanisms common to
opto-couplers, new rotary SC and GR level meters, and much more. Please
refer to the inline help and/or manual for more details.

It's back up.
Kotelnikov is a gem. I can't wait to try the update, but I'm out of town.

The Gentleman's edition sounds good too. Things like frequency dependent ratios and equal loudness workflows might be handy in certain situations.

Extra features for the GE are:

  • External sidechain input
  • Inertia timing mode
  • Continuously variable control over “low relax” slope
  • L<>R sensitivity
  • Powerful frequency dependent ratio function (FDR)
  • Yin/Yang modes (manipulates the compressor’s own distortion behaviour)
  • Equal loudness output gain trimming
  • Equal loudness bypass
  • “Insane” quality mode
  • 10 additional user preset slotsI have used the TDR Feedback Compressor II for quite a while now too. They are very transparent compressors.
