I only upgraded my laptop (from 8.1) a week or two ago. Based on my experience I'm going to leave the DAW on 8.1 (if it ain't broke...).
What I've experienced is memory issues with 10 eating RAM. The first problem was the superfetch service causing the kernel to grow to a couple of GB (that's GB with a "G"). Since disabling superfetch (which isn't necessary as I have an SSD drive but MS turns it on anyway), the kernel process stays at 144 KB (that's with a "K", not an "M").
But now I'm noticing a gradual increase in memory usage not directly associated with any process, which at times amounts to something on the order of 50MB a minute. I haven't tracked down the cause yet, but the memory seems to be going to what's known as "Session Private" memory, which is memory (perhaps Windows resources) which is owned by the logon session, not any particular process. Which makes it much harder to track down the cause.

It certainly is something that didn't happen under 8.1 with nothing but the OS having changed.
If you Google it, you will find many people are having memory problems with Windows 10, but often they are either dismissed or explained by random speculation. Many other people of course either aren't having these problems or haven't noticed them, so it is what it is.
