i dont think middle-aged is a bad thing. only if you want to have a go with 18 years old ladys. but if you dont mind skipping that its just ok. for me a sword collection is so much cooler than the other.

The only time an 18 year old lady even so much as pays attention to me is when she is petting my dog ..
Duke gets all the love and attention and all I get are all the sloppy seconds from a distance of about 6 feet at the end of a leash ...
I hate to say this publicly because it holds a large measure of truth to it .
When Kendog comes a courting most of the ladys 45 and and under have been known to cast a suspicious gaze in my general direction ...
I may need to go out and start  collecting swords .....

I'm not gonna speak for Jarsve  since he is his own man , plus he has a sword
 
OK if that picture be the truth I almost hate to have to say this ...
 
Looking at that picture , I think , Oh Boy ,  I'm getting Double Shafted
 
I'm in both the top section of the pic and the bottom section of the picture but not in the middle where all the girls are
 
OK first , lets look at the top picture ,Yeah , I have had many years of playing to an empty room full of guitar players ....
Getting a one thumbs up is cool Yet most of the local guys that have come out to see me play have suffered from very poor circulation. They seem to enjoy crossing their arms in front of their chests rather tightly when I'm playing ..
We all know that can happen , and some of us have been there and done that our self's  ...
 
Some of these guys are rather talented , I almost wonder if some of them should give up the guitar al together and peruse a career in acting . A few I've met  can beat out the absolute best out in a stare down contest ...a necessary acting skill ..
I've even met a few that can even out Gaze the Master of stink eye himself Clint Eastwood when it comes to giving a guitar player a hard looking 1000 yard Gaze of Stink Eye ....
Having survived that added bonus of playing out, I'm always grateful to get at least a one thumbs up from a guitar player who happens to be  an audience member 
 
The part that is giving me a Rough Time over here is this
 
Now that I'm playing 8 string guitar , does that means I'm also covering the Bass Guitar a lot of the times ?...
 
Please don't tell me that I'm automatically enrolled and have been cast into the bottom section of that picture  also....
if that's the case it now a double whammy....
 
FWIW I happen to love bass players ...I've always enjoyed dating their younger sisters ...
Yet, according to that picture I'm gonna end up being bald , fatter than I am , having missing teeth and all alone ...
 
You guys see what I mean about getting double shafted according to that picture ?
Oh well , I came into this world that way ...
If That's the way the cookie crumbles ..So be it , since that's the way I'm gonna probably end up leaving  this world any way
