Today they are using a different number each for the calls. I Am using their calls as break time. I breathe hard and give em my rendition of Homer sayin oh baby oh baby. It doesn't phase these guys though. They just keep talking

I never answer calls to my landline now because 99% of calls are scammers or people wanting to sell me something. I wouldn't even have a landline if it wasn't required for broadband. If someone wants to talk to me they can leave a message.
 
If my mobile (cellphone) rings and I don't recognise the number, I don't answer that either.

My best friend growing up was one of the best sales people you'd ever meet (and, as annoying as it sounds he would be!).  Top in the nation three years in a row for an organs and pianos seller.  We went in on some investment property once and, while getting the place ready to flip, two Mormons showed up at the door selling religion.  He sold them a new organ - lol!

lol. I had a stepdad that was like that. He was the quintessential traveling salesman. Always trying to sell something whether it be himself, the company, the product. He was good at it. Probably unlike your friend, he didn't mind working around in the ethically gray areas.
 
I can't really fault him as he took good care of us while he was around but when I went to work in the same line of business, I kept running into his shadow. A shadow that was filled with unhappy people.
