Hi,
Can I use, for example, a drum pattern from Superior Drummer, on a Midi track
and have, again for example Maschine play it ?

Thanks

If they are regular MIDI-tracks, yes you can, but the kitpiece mapping doesn't match, obviously, so it is quite tedious to mix loops from different sources.

I'm not sure about Superior Drummer but some drum instruments allow you to change the mapping of its MIDI loops via an option. For instance NI's Drummer series allows you to change the mapping to General MIDI. If you don't have this option however, it's really not all that difficult to remap the drums manually. Most patterns have 6 or 7 drums tops and it's really easy to just lasso all of the hits in a row and drag them to the correct drum.

Toontrack's EZ Drummer allows you to Drag and Drop it's Midi Files from the interface onto any track. I imagine it's big brother Superior Drummer would allow the same thing. Then that track can be used to drive any other instrument as long as the note mapping is the same. Many or most drum plugins follow the General Midi note mapping spec. For example I can drag a midi file from EZ Drummer onto a Session Drummer track and it will play just fine.......

Yep...got SD 2 and drag and drop is no problem. You can easily remap as well...I'm not at my DAW for a good while, but I'm willing to bet someone will be able to step you through it...
