How stable is X2 for you?

Totally un-usable
Somewhat quirky
Mostly stable
Rock solid

And are you running X2 in 32-bit or 64-bit?

I've talked to some forum members over the last few weeks and it seems that most have both 32 and 64-bit installed and find that 32-bit is, or seems, more reliable.

As for me, I have only the 64-bit version installed and it's somewhat quirky.
I'm going to install the 32-bit version as well as all my plug-ins today and see if the performance/stability of X2 improves for me.

I'm just interested in the overall community here and what's working for them.

64 bit/windows 8(ran it on 7 with the same results)/64 bit sonar x2
rock solid.

ive had 4 crashes since it came out back in October.

now do the track lanes anoy me ? sure.
does the aim asst not read the correct timeframes ? sure

but what can I say,im very happy.

I would look at 32 bit plug ins in a 64 bit atmosphere though.
my crashes each time had to do with a 32 bit third party plug in.

My results are similar to Charlie's.  I'm running X2a 64 on Win7 64, and occasional quirks aside I'd categorize stability as rock solid.  Even with some 32bit plugins thrown in the mix.

FWIW, I'm using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 in ASIO mode, and my DAW (Q9300 w/ 8GB RAM) is not connected to the internet.

X2a producer 64-bit.

Been pretty solid for me, though it has crashed a few times during normal use.

Lately it has crashed several times when exiting the program.

Now time cursor has bugs in several places.

My Sonar X2a 32bit Essential falls somewhere between "Somewhat quirky" and "Mostly stable," if there's any difference between them.

Recently upgraded from X1d to X2a (Prod.), and have been putting it to the test.
Running on a Win 7 64-bit machine that does a lot of multi-purpose stuff, and I still see no "quirks" or crashes.
So far I would have to put it somewhere between "Mostly Stable" and "Rock Solid", 'tho I am sure my day will come....

LOL, I know. It's along the same lines as mostly sunny and partially cloudy.

@ Chuck - I run a full 64-bit environment. I do have a few plugs that are 32-bit but have never had any issues regarding that.
I personally believe that most of my 'quirks' are more PC related than anything.

Like today, I though I was going to record a few grooves for Keni but for some reason my MIDI seems to be acting up.
Once again, when I record some MIDI info it plays back as if I've triggered every sound in the drum brain (I know, oxy-moron ) and a few sounds that I don't even Know I have.
I check the PRV and what I've played is there. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sometimes a reboot fixes it and sometimes just switching to a different project for a while works too. Sometimes I just give up, head over to the Girlfriends for a few days then come back and all is well.

That's 'somewhat quirkey'.

Our good friend/guru  Danny suggested I try running 32-bit. He said that seems to run better on his setup.

X2 32-bit is just finishing up then comes the task of installing and registering the 32-bit versions of my plug-ins, drivers and such.

Apologies to Keni. I'm working on it buddy and you'll be receiving some grooves as they come off the press.
Thanks for your patience. I know there's no big rush but I'd still like to get something sent out ASAP.

64 bit environment, no 32 bit plugs that I know of (I deliberately um-installed what 3rd party plugs I had that were 32 bits. I trust Sonar didn't install me any ....). One crash due to driver error, so Mostly Stable to Rock Solid I guess. CHeers, Jerry

You are aware that all (?) Sonar plugins (not synths) are 32-bit ?
