Sonar for lifer here...  I may be asking a stupid question but as command center just installs updates what is the exact procedure for backing up the latest version so I have a complete Sonar and all it's goodies safely backed up to a portable hard drive to enable me to reinstall it to a future computer once things devolve...

Simple stupid people instructions would be most appreciated.

Hi

1. Log into your Cakewalk account
2. Click on 'My Products'
3. Select the item you wish to download
4. Click on the download link

Some titles (such as Sonar itself) have 'Connected Products' which can be accessed from the parent product download page.

Hope this helps

Hi. If you have the latest release installed, and used default CCC settings.
The downloads are located in C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads
All the best.

And while in MY PRODUCTS .. Print that page to PDF or just print it so you have a record of all your serials and reg codes.

Not really - that works for many of the extras, and for older Sonar versions.  But the only 'downloadable' for SPLAT is the installer at a few Mb.  I look in the CC download folder on my pc and there's a bunch of files, including several updates.

I think what the OP (and me) would like is something akin to the 8.5, X-series options where you can physically download the install files.  If I have to reinstall SPLAT from a clean start I'm not sure the files I have in the download folder would do it.

In my C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads folder I have many files, including:

SONAR_Platinum_Setup_23.10.0.14.exe, dated 10/28/2017, filesize 663,499 KB.

Given the large filesize I would hope that could be run in order to install Sonar without any more downloads needed - licensing issues aside, of course.

I looked in my program data folder and there are multiple versions of SPLAT at about 480 MB.  Everything I have bought is there a .exe.  Looks pretty complete to me.

My total download folder is about 70 Gig...Looks like I can make space on my C drive now !

Yes all you need for Splat itself is the last install file. You don't need the older ones.
Although I save them all. But thats just me.
