Hi,
Sometimes, I need to do a fast little work and, a couple years ago, I was working alot with the TTS1.  Now, I'm in 64bit with Sonar 1c.  I tried yesterday to work again with the TTS1 and it didn't work.

Is there something to do to make it work or, should I forget right away about it?

It should work.

I suspect you still have the old 32 bit version left over from a previous installation. I suggest uninstalling it and reinstalling it for the X1 disks.

my web site has some stuff that may help.... music & recording page> MC 4/5 and scroll down a bit....you need to set up the banks and patches in TTS .... that's something the more modern synths don't require.

Thanks for the link Herb. Nice tutorial on TTS-1, which I only just recently acquired with X2.

From a musical point, I have a big knownledge of technical point but from a technical point, I have a big lack of knownledge on the very basic things...So, I guess it's better for me to forget the TTS1 and make the things on another way.
1- I tried to find where to go to uninstall the TTS1...after browsing every where I know...did not find where...
2-  I got 4 discs of Sonar X1 and I didn't want to hit any buttons install because, everything goes well and I don't want to scrap my workflow because I'm trying to get back on an old thing...well you know what I mean...heu...I hope LOL
3-  I read something about a bitbridge that help to convert some 32 stuff but I'm a little bit...no...alot confuse about that...so I keep my distance drom that...
4-  But I somebody here understand my point and can give me a push in a few words, it will be appreciate.  I mean, if there is a (SIMPLE) way to get the TTS1 in a 64 bit environnement to work.

TTS-1 (which must be 32-bit) works fine for me in 64-bit X2a. I installed X1 from discs, then I downloaded X2. I don't know which installation my TTS-1 came from.

Perhaps if you provided a bit more information on how you go about setting up TTS-1 on your system others could give you better help.

Keep in mind that there aren't that many people around here on the weekends and you might get more attention during the week.

Your sig says you're on X1C. There's a D patch for X1. Probably won't help you with this current problem, but shouldn't you install it to be up to date ?

Thank's Paul.  Well, I just insert à virtuel Synth and a midi track witch take the out of TTS1  The midi track show some activity but there's no sound and led shows in the TTS1 track synth.
Like I said before, every thing goes well on 1c so, I'm afraid to go on the d.

I am a bit confused.

There should be at least 3 pieces that must be connected (skipping simple instrument track) for a synth to produce audible audio, at least 1 audio track, a midi track, and the synth itself.

Just for testing, please do the following steps, and post back on success/failure to produce audio after going through these steps:

1.  Insert TTS-1 into the synth rack.  Leave all options un-checked except the open synth properties option.  For this example, you are going to manually insert and connect tracks.  If you want to, load a different preset for the first channel of TTS-1 - I believe it defaults to Piano.  When done, close the synth properties page for TTS-1.

2.  Now, insert an audio track, and set the input of this track to be the stereo output from the TTS-1 synth.  Leave the output set to the Master Bus.

3.  Now, insert a midi track.  Leave the input setting alone.  Set the output to the TTS-1 synth.

4.  Click on the left side of the midi track to select it, which should also turn on the Midi Input Echo On for the track - this is so you can monitor the sound while playing.  By default, Sonar will turn this on when you select a midi track, and when you switch to a different track the echo on will get turned off.  So, for now we want it on - hence selecting the track.

5.  Now, play some notes on your midi controller, and you should hear sound produced for the TTS-1 preset you loaded up (or the default one if you didn't load a preset).

The above should do it.

Please post back with the results of attempting the above steps.
