I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I can't find a thread when I search.

I'm using Sonar X1 Studio.  I can hear the audio from the clips I recorded today, but I can't see the data.  Just a flat line in all of the clips.  I could see the data when I recorded it, then logged off, when I returned, it was gone.

All of the other clips are fine, just the stuff I recorded today.  I tried moving the clips to a different track, but no luck.

Thanks, Roskovod

check your track view settings, I think there is a setting in there for viewing audio waves.
don't know why this would change like that though.

possibly a picture cache issue ?

Try this. Right Click on the audio clip. Then select Associated Audio Files, or Shift+K, when that window opens there will be a box at the bottom that says "recompute picture(s)". Click it and see if that fixes the problem.

To redraw waveforms

Select the clips that you want to redraw.
Right-click a selected clip, and choose Associated Audio Files on the pop-up menu to open the Associated Audio Files dialog box.
Click the Recompute Picture(s) button. A dialog box appears, asking if you want to recompute the pictures on the selected clips.
Click OK.

edit.....Tracy didn't see your post

Also your Picture Cache could be full. Go to the Picture Cache folder, and delete everything in the folder. Don't worry, nothing will be lost.

Tried the "Recompute Picture(s)" button and it worked.  I also cleaned out my picture cache.

Thanks for the help!!!!

I have a shortcut to the Picture Cache folder on my Desktop for just that purpose.
