Kalle/Greg: Thanks so much - now I need your help in defining what you mean by "highlight/select audio output or synth track". If you mean: In the track view, simply highlight the MIDI track AND the audio track I want to bounce to, I've tried it and it doesn't work. If you mean: Change the output on the audio track I'm bouncing to to match the output on the MIDI track I've already created, it's not giving me the option of changing the output in the audio track to match the output in the MIDI track (which is Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, which I assume to be my laptop's internal synth). THANX! TT

Like Dave wrote.
Click the MIDI track and the soft synth track while holding the Ctrl key.

+1 - You shouldn't be using the MS GS wavetable synth. Its not very good. Use the Edirol VSC or TTS-1 (if your version has that). Those are General MIDI synths meaning they can play up to 16 different sounds at a time and the sounds type follow the General MIDI standard numbering, i.e., 1 is Acoustic Piano, 5 is a Rhodes Piano, etc.
