I didn't recognize the genre but it was an interesting listen. Perhaps there could have been like different parts, because it sounded a bit same kind of free style soloing a lot of the time and that is why it felt like too long. You have talent this is just not my kind of music.

Thanks for the comments kakku. I am not surprised you didn't recognized a genre. Most all of the things I do are experimental -- with a hint of jazz. Lately I've been trying to use old standard jazz chord progressions and improvise over them using scales that fit the chords. That is, play notes that don't sound wrong for a given chord. If you are interested in the music theory behind jazz, a good reference website titled The Outside Shore created by Marc Sabatella is a good place to start. In the section "A Jazz Improvisation Primer" he gives a good discussion on chord/scale relationships. You can see the this section online here:

There are many other sources of information online but I found this particularly helpful.

My comments were a bit harsh considering I did not understand the piece I was reviewing. I have been taught the art of jazz guitar in one period of my life. Funny thing was that I was taking the guitar lessons in order to become a virtuoso with fast scale runs and so on but my teacher insisted on teaching me mostly difficult jazz chord progressions. I quit after a couple of months which I ofc regret. Happy New Year to you too!

No need to be apologetic kakku. Most people aren't familiar with my experiments and since they're not a familiar genre are not too impressed. That includes my 2 sons. But after some more trial and error I hope to produce something that will make good soundtracks for YouTube videos....maybe even horror films . Anyway its always a fun adventure with all that Sonar Producer has to offer.

I like this a lot myself, but I am a jazz fan...It just needs some John McLaughlin licks in there somewhere. Cool stuff!

Very cool. In my mind, I can hear this at Red Rocks(Colorado) with some killer brushes on the drums.

That was different...   but there were certainly a number of interesting chord changes, melodies and such happening to keep the interest level up.    The mix was nice and clear too.  
 
The only negative for me, and it's a personal preference, are some of the tones.   For anyone that's ever played the Wii bowling game, the organ sort of reminded me of that.   Overall I'd like to hear this with a B3 organ tone and perhaps vibes for a more traditional jazz feel... though I get the electronic aspect too.   Good stuff.
