Racing on the hillsides,
The shadows gone to ground
they will find a place to rise.

Love it. Used to take my daughter up on The Ridgeway flying kites when she was small.

I thought it may give you a touch of homesickness.

We were only there for a hour or two, but what huge skies! I am hoping to get a small group of friends together for a three or four day walk at some point.

Monday was wet so we visited Malmesbury and the tomb of England's first King, Æthelstan In the old Norman abbey.

Malmesbury! You're killing me now Glyn...

That's only 12 miles from where I lived for 42 years. Just a little drive up the A429 to Kemble, through Ewen (The Wild Duck used to be an excellent pub) then down to South Cerney.

Are those first pictures real?  I'm having my doubts...

Yes, its the sun, incredulous one!! - And the horse came down from the hill to drink from a well in the valley that night. AND - The white spot on the flat hill is where St George slew the dragon, even though he never set foot in England (and there are no such thing as dragons)
