  • Loop module x2 64,is there really a minimum,to how close the yellow"triangles"can be?

Hi all,
I have never come across THIS before[except once],and I suppose it's maybe a side effect of "over using" the excellent Auto Zoom,but when I'm zoomed [out/or is it in?],particularly on a vocal track,I want to LOOP the zoomed part,that I'm deleting,or have deleted[to get rid of breath noises,mic stands,guitars "falling over" etc],but I'm finding NOW,that the "little yellow"triangles[with adjoining yellow line underneath],will NOT allow the "triangle type "markers"to be less than,what seems to be 480 "ticks",when set to the default 960 ticks,i.e. no closer,than what is allowed.
I realise,removing unwanted noise,and guff,is one of the myriad reasons, for what automation is for,it's just I'm still a little phobic,of "committing" to volume automation unless it's the ONLY way[I like "virtual feel"on certain instruments],and this is the second time Iv'e noticed it[first time I thought I was halucinating,and thought no more of it,but today,there was no denying the evidence.

Is there no"configuration file" tweaks,to just let the yellow markers be closer,when a clip is zoomed so much?

Thanks a bunch=)

IIRC I think that minimum was put in to stop the markers sitting on top of each other and users wondering why Sonar was "broken" and wouldn't play. In reality of course it was looping over zero seconds for ever.

I have no idea of there is a way to change it.

Hey Karl,aka FBB,sorry for not getting back,but I have been having"interface revelations",i.e. I scored a pristine VS-100 for what would be 111.87 GBP! :}

I was stunned,when I won the auction,and I was dealing with someone who clearly had no idea[or cared?]what market price was,anyway,at first I was utterly shocked,that "it" wouldn't allow projects to be opened,unless,at least 256 samples,and then unfortunately voiced my dissapointment.

Anyway,after re-downloading latest 64bit Win 7 drivers[again!],its performing fantastic,@ 64 samples/9.1 milliseconds Round Trip.

To get back to the "topic",I was just surprised,as sometimes,I'll have a teeny guitar squeek,or heaven forbid,a MISTAKE[=/],that my still newb like workflow,needs to hear"repeatedly",and although it "more than likely"seems ridiculous,to have such a "teeny" bit of looping....ahh looping,all I can say is "I do"'.

Thanks Anyhow
Bob

Living Room Rocker
Hi Bob. It is 60 ticks (of one measure and one beat). I would like to be able to bring the loop points closer for the purpose just as you described, but that's the closet they get. I have even submitted a bug for this. I think they should come together. It would be easy to see in the Loop Control Bar if someone did think there was a problem with SONAR. Simply turning off loop would make it obvious. No more limitations. Give back full control the user, CW!

Its' good to know "Living Room Rocker",there are others that zoom and tweak in the obscure zone too!,and I will submit a request/bug report also,but man I just wish I was getting as much exercise,as your avatar! Cheers
