  • Confused about snap to landmarks

I'm trying to find the quick way to snap the now time to the beginning and end of a clip. If I enable snap then it always snaps to the grid, not to the landmark. Not sure how to get Sonar to just snap to a landmark. Or alternatively is there a key command for "go to beginning of clip"? And overall, what I'm doing is comping drums with slip edits. I'll comp an overhead and then want to apply the same slip edits to the other drum tracks. Snap to beg/end of clip would make that a breeze although I'm open to other ideas on how to quickly accomplish that task (other than get another drummer).

I'll comp an overhead and then want to apply the same slip edits to the other drum tracks.

Select all drum tracks, right click and select "Create Selection Group from Selected Clips". Now when you slip edit one track they will all be slip edited.

You can set "Group clips across tracks" in Preferences---->Project---->Record which will group them for you at record time.

Nice. That works real well. Grouping clips while recording should be a big time saver too. Awesome! (Still confused about the landmarks but there's always more than one way to do something in the DAW)

When you turn snap to landmarks on you need to set which landmarks. Click on the landmark button to turn it on, if none are set preferences should open.

If you want to check the settings they are in Preferences---->Customisation-------->Snap to Grid. Intensity setting will also make a difference as will the snap resolution.
