I must have entered an alternate universe, cause it makes no sense that the basics not are there on the Big Stick in My Eye, otherwise know as the controlbar. They could have at least been on one of the modules available to be shown or hidden. (Better yet, there should be user-defined toolbars with said basic buttons available.) P.S. Oh, and if anyone is listening, when I finally do navigate to Cut (or be so lucky as to click on that little button with the scissors, you know what I mean) guess what I want to do, I'll give you a hint, I want to CUT. What I do NOT want to do is answer yet another question or two. You could make that another option, like Safety Cut (get it?..you know - safety scissors.)

All of those basic functions are now accessed via the main menu or keyboard shortcuts.

But yes, being able to customize the Control Bar would be nice. Hopefully, in a future version, we'll get that feature.

Only if you use SONAR so frequently that you learn them by heart. Only one session per week or less and you maybe never learn them well enough for a fluent workflow.

Save, cut and paste keyboard shortcuts are the same as they are in any Windows based program, i.e. ctrl-S, ctrl-x, ctrl-v etc. I'm really surprised when people don't know these, they are Windows basics.

If you want these buttons in X1/X2 right now, check out the Duckbar program which gives you a customizable toolbar (buttons) as well as extensive control of the colors and "other" appearance of all things Sonar...

This is not a Cakewalk program and it is a free utility made by a talented and gracious Sonar user....

You can find more info here:

Tho I use keyboard shortcuts most of the time, there are a few I often find handy to have on a button so that depending on the various hand needs (playing an instrument or the likes) I can access many commands graphically which Sonar itself no longer offers <sad>...

Check it out.... Easy to use and works well!

Talking about those three, yes, it's difficult not to learn them if you do any kind of PC-work outside of playing games. But if you don't create texts, edit pictures or video, or you do those only a few times a year, you maybe never get aqquainted to any shortcuts, because you simply don't come to think of them.

Save = Ctrl + s
Cut = Ctrl + x
Copy = Ctrl + c
Paste = Ctrl + V

ALL of these are standard with any Windows programs

Undo = Ctrl + z
Redo = Ctrl + Shift + z

And more importantly have been so since Windows first hit the market.

Uh... even if you don't want to use shortcuts why the heck would you want to waste extra screen space on cut/copy/paste buttons when you can keep the cursor in one  spot and right click?

If simple stuff like this is making you rage out you might as well just pack it in because it gets WAY more complex.

Also... hi, guys. ;-)
