Voda La Void
Listening to your own songs is a bit like laughing at your own jokes, right?  You can get away with it if no one is watching, ha.  Well, I've been listening to this one for days now and I can't help it, I just like it.  The mood, the melodies, the instruments, the mixing, the structure, it pretty much is the best thing I've done since Letter To God.

This is my first attempt at live acoustic drums.  I've always played electronic drum sets, which I just despise now.  The sound is not a deep pro drum sound - rather it's perfect for the mood and space of this tune, I think.  All I have is a KSM27 condenser and a SM57 in an echo chamber for a room.  But it works.

I really hope you guys dig this one.  I think it needs to be loud to hear everything.    Into The Dirt

One thing I always consider when I listen to songs here and then comment is "This is someone's baby" which consequently makes me think about what I want to say as quite often what is presented is what they hear.

It does come across here quite well, the vox is a little in the background for me, and overall it is a little narrow.  But that is just my furry eared opinion if you like it and it makes your ears smile then it is good.

Hey Voda,
this is quite different from what I normally listen to.  love the guitar solos.  acoustic is nice and clean sounding.

nice work!

Other than the vocals and guitar FX being a little narrow (as the furry one mentioned) it sounds good here!  The dreamy feel reminds me of someone, but I can't think who...    I like the "screamed" vocal parts too, nice contrast.

Wookie and stevec - did the telephone fx come across on the vox?  Because I was purposely going for that kind of 1k~4k frequency range on the vocal fx for the verses and color on the chorus.  Anyways, thanks for listening.

Makke - thanks for the ear.

Beagle - I guess I'm curious what you normally listen to.  Thanks for giving this one a go.

Hey Tim,

Very Filter-ish (but not mastered as loud). Nice work.

Great piece. It seemed to be three different songs in one.  I very much liked the first part that ended around 4:10. Very dreamy, lie back and relax kind of a mood. I was kind of expecting that first part to return at the end to round things out, though. Closure and all that. Just my opinion.

I like the laid back feeling. It reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on it. I may push the yelled vox a bit harder, and maybe put a little dirt on them with a saturation tool. Oh now I know! Sounds kind of like a Beatles tune when they were in to LSD! :-)

I really like this song because it's not paint by numbers.  The arrangement is very cool.  I think we're all getting better around here by listening to each other, and the standard for excellence keeps getting raised.  Thanks for your contributions.
