Are you using the babyface bus-powered? 
If so, try the  power adaptor for that.

Thanks for the help, everyone. Found it in Windows Event Viewer: a Cakewalk plugin, Multivoice Chorus/Flange was crashing sonarpdr.exe. Sent the Event Viewer log entry to Cakewalk with the details.

RME seems to be fine on USB bus, but running with its own power is a good idea, will switch to that.

Don't have my memory utility yet, but planning to do that one as well.

The UAD is not an audio interface, it only supplies DSP for UAD plug-ins. This is UAD Quad expansion card. Very happy with my plugins so far, especially the Fairchild and RealVerb Pro.
