  • Weird Masking Issue In The Track Manager - Can't Bounce To Clips

Hey Everyone.

I've run into a weird issue a few times and I'm wondering if I can get someone to tell me what is going on. In the track manager, I'll insert a VSTi as a combined MIDI & Audio track. In the piano roll view I'll make some changes and then jump back to the track manager to do some copying and pasting. When I select the track and choose "bounce to clips", my clips don't bounce to a single clip. In fact, it looks like there is some type of masking applied to the track. The only way to fix this is to split the audio and MIDI into separate tracks. Once that's done, I can copy, paste and bounce to clips like I would normally expect.

What's going here? How do I prevent this from happening?

Does it always happen? In any project?
BTW, the view in which you copy/paste clips is called 'Track View'. 'Track Manager' is what you see when you press H in the Track View or in the Console View.

SuperStruct, combined Audio + Midi tracks (Simple Instrument Tracks in sonar parlance ) are known to be a bit on the flakey side at times.

Many of us don't bother with them at all, you get more flexibility & options from using the split approach.

I don't know if this is the direct cause of your issue, but the finger seems to be pointing towards it
