Charlie I wouldn't worry about it I can't figure out what needs to be "brought on" anyway. He could be a baggage handler though and simply wants you to bring a bag on board. Maybe he wants you to check it.

In the preferences menu there is a button on the vst page that lets you scan the vsts right away without having to start up again.

a button ?

that narrows it down.

there are a few buttons in there.

If you have a problem with what I put on the forum or any other problem pertaining to me, then bring it on.

what am I supposed to bring on ?
what are you going to hit me or something ?
your showing the same behavior you always do and it seems to be a trend.

wasn't there a thread a couples weeks ago where you were the one who respond to me with words like , "loser" and "Idiot".
see Dan, maybe in real life you go around verbally abusing people but I don't.
I say thing like "well that narrows it down" big difference
and rather than say things like "Bring it on" like you've been watching to much WWF or something,
I say things like "I'm going to pass on that." (the bring it on)

In the short time I have seen you on the forum ,I have noticed your behavior as being a self appointed forum moderator among other things. You are very good at twisting words that others put on the forum as if you are some kind of professor or something. I typed "button "on the forum in order to help someone and here you come around and in your "diplomatic way" start cutting me down with your remarks like "well that narrows it down"and like you've been watching to much WWF or something. I am very tired of your underwater remarks . I am not going to start getting personal. It is a waste of time with people like you.
I hope you have a great time on the forum. Most of all I hope you stop and think before you start making your remarks on the forum.
Anyway I dont want anything more to do with you.

Danny

Perhaps it's related to a custom plugin layout?

Hi, Steve. The problem does have to do with layouts, but not just custom ones. After I run a scan, I can see the new VST in the plugin manager and I add it to my custom layout. I then close the plugin manager, right click in the FX bin and, not only is it absent from my custom layout, it's also absent from the "default all plugins" layout.

Again, this didn't used to be the case. I don't know if I changed a setting inadvertently or if this is a bug. Given that other folks don't seem to be having this problem, I'm inclined to think it's a setting, I just don't know which one.

Cowboydan, you mentioned that you thought there was a setting in the plugin manager that affected this behavior. If you (or anyone) know what that is, please respond. Thanks.
