Lynn, I'm missing something here. Can you give me a path to it from the track itself?

Select your track, and press the letter I.  The inspector will open up with the track dialogue box at the top of the inspector.
Good luck.

If this doesn't help check the answers in your other thread.

I can't help but wonder if some the things that were, "removed" were performance hogs.

Craig are you saying that you see a reduction is CPU usage?

Okay. Originally the Button Bindings for control surface assignments had Undo/Redo which was absolutely essential when recording midi and audio clips. In every version of Sonar I was able to undo and redo with my Studio Mix controller at the press of a button on my contol surface.  Undo/Redo are  there in 8.5.3 and every version prior to X1 but now there are a whole lot of other  bindings for the control surface but no Undo/Redo! I want those binding BACK!  Trying to re-install it from Program Files / Cakewalk 8 or Lower seems useless.. Sonar XML.Documents are not present in any of those files. Can anybody help me get back Undo/Redo back into the ACT control surface menu?????

I  have just installed X1 and gotten up and running with it, so that's why the late post to this thread.  I haven't worked with it extensively yet, but so far, I really like the new interface and the workflow.

One little thing that is bothering me, though, that Cake left out - and a few have already mentioned it - is only 1 or 2 sends displaying in the console view.  I had 4 displayed in 8.5.3 and came to depend on it.  Now, with only two showing in X1, I'm thrown off.

I think it may have been B San who asked in an earlier post in this thread, "any way to display more than 2 sends?"

That is my question as well, anyone?

Thank you,

Todd

The CV needs some work. But you can see more then 2 sends in the track header if you insert them there. The CV seems to only show only 2 at a time.CW has said it is working on some problems with the CV. I don't know if this issue is one of the things they are working on.

Thanks John, crossing my fingers that this is one of the CV improvements/fixes.

1. So, is 8.5.3 the last good version? By that I mean, are the changeovers in X1 and X2 a huge bunch of cosmetics which bother long time users like me?

2. Some DAWs, such as Logic Pro, have an envelope pane in which one can draw envelopes that will affect all tracks at the same time. When will Sonar have such an exceptionally useful tool? In stead of drawing envelopes separately for each track, one could save bundles of time by drawing just general envelopes for all tracks. For ex., strings in pop arrangements swell and ebb at the same time. Why would I have to draw (maybe copy) all those envelopes separately? This would go for all of the available envelopes and maybe even effects.
