Hi guys,

I'm going to be migrating to a new PC soon. 
I currently use Home Studio 7XL and I want to install it again on my new PC.
I also intend to then upgrade to SONAR X2.

I am just trying to get organised - I can find my serial code for 7XL (CSHX-7.00 etc) but I can't find my registration code...
I have completely forgotten the process as it was so long ago - surely I registered it, right? I would have been required to, right?

I have just tried to find out my registration code using Cakewalk's online help - I entered my serial number but when I hit return it said 'we could not find your registration code...'

Will I need a registration code to install 7XL on my new machine? Or will I just need the Serial number?

I definitely still have a Cakewalk account - I've just logged on it. I can see my registered products (Z3TA etc...) but I can't actually see 'Sonar Home Studio 7XL'.... I'm being dumb - but could someone point out to me WHERE I'm being dumb?

You will need the reg. code or the software won't work for long.
You log into your store account and look for My Registrations. I think. The codes should be there as well as any download links for stuff you got that way.
Did you use a different email address when you registered SHS 7?

That's what I was thinking, Greg. It may be tied to a different email address.
It's also possible that the SHS7 information didn't get carried forward when the account page was updated.
I've seen mine go through some changes, and for a while the registration code for SHS4 was missing. Now it shows again.
I haven't had any go missing entirely, though.

Ok - I've found my registration code - you are quite right, it is in an email I received in my OLD email account.

However, I have since changed my email address and now to log into my Cakewalk account requires my NEW email address.

Does anyone know how I can make my registration appear in my Cakewalk account?? 

RESOLVED: 

Emailed Cakewalk and they merged the information from my old email address onto my new one so now my registration appears in my account.
