I think the ideal solution to the save button would be if they gave us the ability to create our own custom toolbar, we could add the buttons to it that we want/need. I was able to program my FW1884 button to save, so I don't need the mouse or keyboard for that anymore. there are several buttons in the control bar that I have never used, in fact I have removed a few of the modules. So there is plenty of room in the control bar for a customized toolbar module!

+1   A customizable Control Bar module could go a long way....

While we're at it, I'd to be able to float the modules independently, especially the one being proposed.

But not in a Windows window, that would be too big for nothing.

I should start another thread, called "Need button that does what I want" That way all functions within Sonar can be controlled by one button/one keystroke! It'll be a big button. It will be reasonably fashionable, color-choos-able, and moves around near your mouse cursor, but only appears when you want it to!

That would be an excellent option...

I always had an F key function for that, I just changed stuff up. I think F5 saved, F4 undo/delete. I think I had f6 make an audio track and F7 make a midi track. I was planning on doing that this week. Can it still be done? I hope so! Ill be super frustrated if not. I save after every take even when I delete. I always hit them both one after another, like a flam lol
