See RFC 1925 Rule 7 and 8.

come on man, seriously, who is that helping except yourself ?
did you get a good laugh out of that ?
some guy is in here bumbing out cause he's having crashing issues and your going to send him on a wild goose chase looking through a link for 2 rules that basically say "its always something" or its complicated" ?

that is low.

So...I LOVE X2 but here recently EVERY time I try to use it. It crashed and stops responding a few minutes after opening it. Does anybody know what the problem is? This just started this week. Even a link to a post where this has already been answered would be helpful. Thax Cakewalk fam, Matthaeus

id do a quick test on your hard drive.
unless you keep loading the same project and it crashes,
but if you are loading a new project and its crashing everytime, than I suspect a bad HD or possibly RAM.

Update guys!!! Okay, it's fixed by doing the SIMPLEST thing lol. Reinstalling it. It works PERFECTLY fine now. I did to the X2 update a while back. I guess my computer doesn't like it. Thax for your help CW fam!!

I hade severe issues and simple things fixed it. Made sure I have the X2a patch, made sure I had windows 7 service pack 1, and my drivers were up to date. I did these things and it works great now. So if you have more issues double check these items. Glad you are up and running!

Great news.  Can you please tell me - did you do only the X2 quick fix, did you do only the X2a update, or did you do both?

If you did the quick fix only and it caused problems, you might consider skipping that and doing the X2a update.

If you, on the other hand, had done the X2a update only and had problems, you might want to go back and apply the quick fix and then apply X2a.

If you did both updates and had problems, you might want to skip the quick fix and just do the X2a update.

The X2a update addressed something like 250 bugs, if my understanding is correct, and I believe it is worth trying to get to where you end up with that update installed, even if it means doing some removals and installs per the above until you get there cleanly - in my opinion.
