I bought a 30" Dell monitor 5 years ago, and still use and love it today. It would have been a nice touch-screen, but it's excellent with a mouse. In early reviews, it's the first computer monitor that the reviewers had to actually turn their heads to see the left or right side. Anything bigger, and my monitors would be covered up.
However, as a touch-screen deployment, I think it would be dandy to have the Console View to be exactly like a real large-console board. In other words, 1 inch = 1 inch. If you have 32 channels, you'd have to scroll (swipe) the screen left and right to see them all, much like grabbing the scribble pad on an old console and literally
rolling your chair down to the other end! If you want to see the Gain settings, you swipe the screen down to "pull" yourself up to the top of the board. Get it? Like having a real-life-size SSL console, but you can make it actual size, and merely move your screen around on top of your board by swipe movements.
If you want to see the whole board, you can zoom out.
