A looming question in my mind.... If I'm useing the 32 bit version on my Windows 7 64bit (8 gig ram) do I still have access to all the memory?

No, you can only see the first 3 or so gig with a 32 bit app on a 64 bit system. Some older software only sees the first 2 gig.

Thanks, I was suspicious that is how it worked, but needed the confirmation so I can sleep at night. :)

I thought it was 4 gigs but either way emwhy is correct.

You get up to 4 GB, but it depends on the system memory in your machine, because Win 64 takes more RAM for itself than Win 32.

With only 4 GB system RAM, there is absolutely no point in running Windows 64.

At the Win64 / 6 GB point, I think the benefit of running SONAR 64 over SONAR 32 is debatable.

Here's my view:

Experience       RAM       Windows    SONAR
----------------------------------------------------
Good                4 GB       32              32
Crappy             4 GB       64              who cares, the system is a dog. Go back to Win 32
Better              6 GB       64               32
Better?            6 GB       64               64
Best            >=8 GB       64               64
