I unistalled & reinstalled Sonar 6 PE because of some problems with it & mainly VST adaptor errors. Any ideas as to how to correct these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Well, its hard to tell from the pictures you posted, but if you're using Windows 7 or newer, Sonar 6 may not be compatible with it. I think Sonar 7 was the first Windows 7 compatible version. Time to upgrade.

Ya, You have everything but your computer specs posted in your signature. But Often those errors are when an install disk is scratched or the files are corrupted.

Also, the VST Scan function is built into Sonar 6. You shouldn't be using the standalone VST Scanner program that we used before Cakewalk included it in Sonar, if that's what you're doing.

You don't need the Cakewalk VST adapter with PE 6 at all. VSTs are native in that version already. I think vs 4 was the last one that needed the adapter.

AFAIK / IIRC Uninstalling and re-installing you should check that also the registry gets properly cleaned by uninstalling. I've never uninstalled SONAR so I can't say more about the details concerning that aspect.

I find it very hard to believe that W7 would be the cause of the problems, but if you have W8...? Then there's quite a few years passed from PE6.
PE 6 isn't that old, after all, and I believe I've seen posts by PE6/W7 users.

A damaged installation disc, as mentioned above, could be the cause.

No, it's not a Windows 7 compatibility problem with S6 generally. More likely a UAC problem.

Not sure what Cactus & Bristol are talking about or who is a spammer? So I'm not going to respond to those comments.

Dave, Kalle I just deleted the VST adapter. I checked the disk doesn't look like thee's any scratches. if so how can I get a replacement disk from CW? I never take it from it's case. I just bought my new processor and am ordering my new mother board next week then I will soon after upgrade to S 8.5.3.

@Bit, What is "UAC"?

Thanks guys for your input.
