Have I forgotten this or is there some way I'm not finding?

I know we can toggle pre/post fader, but this doesn't switch pre/post fx.... If we don't have it, we should... this would be very handy and I'm surprised I haven't asked earlier... Or did I and I don't remember as it's been so long forgotten? ;-)

Anyone else? Wouldn't it be handy to do this...?

I guess it's time for another Feature Request, eh?

Pre/post fader implies pre/post fx as well. There is no option to be post-fx but pre-fader.

I understand...

Which is why I'm asking for such a switch...

So that I have a choice... there can be reason for either. Being pre-fader is to free the gain control of each, but as to whether that signal is pre/post fx is another matter...

Thanks BF...

keni i see where you're coming from, but i think whatever you need to do might be accomplished using multiple bus sends.  i think a lot of us are still waiting hopefully for true stereo panning on stereo tracks instead of the balance control model so we don't have to run synths through split tracks or instantiating channel tools on every track.

Thanks swamptooth...

Yes, I always find work-arounds, but a simple (?) toggle here might save a lot of extra work....

I too find myself using Channel Tools a lot to accomplish actual stereo panning... Tho sometimes it's not an issue it is more often than not....

BTW... It would be a handy implementation to have dual concentric knobs... One for width and the other for panning that width...

What about saving a Track Template for your stereo synth tracks?
You can have the proper audio interface inputs ready, have Channel-Tools instantiated, etc.
It's a workaround... but it would speed things up a bit (almost to the point where it's a non-issue).

yeah jim, track templates are a great time saver... the problem i run into is with soft synths in general... are the samples mono or stereo? are there, like in dimension pro and rapture, "secret" settings for stereo width already in the sfz files at the group or global level (which isn't so much of an issue now because i more or less just build my own now) or whether or not the width settings are enabled in kontakt yadda yadda yadda.  the fight against big mono can be tricky sometimes.

Hi Jim...

thanks... A good idea which I do use. I have Channel Tools inserted in most of my templates (simple enough to not enable it if that's all I want/need) and while it does help speed up matters, it's still a ways from the convenience of having it immediately in the GUI...
