I'm sorry if this has been addressed before, but I don't even have a clue on how to search for this. Within the last 18 months, I went from Music Creator 5 to Music Creator 6 to Sonar X1 essential to Sonar X1 producer to Sonar X2 producer. I have some songs that must have been done in Sonar X1 essential or earlier. These songs, when loaded, don't display anything Prochannel, no boxes just big blank areas. I haven't a clue on how to get Prochannel loaded on these songs. I done want to lose this work, so if someone can either tell me what I'm missing on getting Prochannel onto these tracks or at least a method to transfer these tracks to a proper save. Thanks...Steve

I'm really speculating here...have you tried doing anything such as a Save As... IOW: take the Essential project open it in X2 Producer and click on Save As and enter a new file name so that you don't overwrite the original.

As I said I'm speculating.

Regards, and good luck.

mmorgan, you are absolutely brilliant! Of course I now feel dumb for not having thought of it ;-). Anyways, that works perfectly, all the default Prochannel modules are not there, but now I can at least right-click and add them. Thanks much, you just make my day (night)!

Glad I could help didymus7.

I think you will find, over time, that the deeper you get into Sonar the more robust it seems. When you described your problem I merely thought of the data structure that would be required, and missing in your previous project version, and thought that on a Save Sonar would build out the stub data structure to hold the PC...I got lucky me thinks.

BTW: Welcome to the forum, I think you will find that there are lot's of individuals on this forum who have a wealth of knowledge and experience and are quite willing to pitch in.

Best of luck.
