This is actually the first time I ever used a control surface and I do like it.
You need to download and run a virtual MIDI port application on your studio PC. I chose rptMIDI. When I start a session it takes about 30 seconds to run rptMIDI and set up TouchDaw. I also set the Kindle to "not sleep". The operation of the controls in TouchDaw is smooth with no noticeable lag.
I'm just getting used to operating on 8 tracks at a time. Maybe I will re-organize my projects to work better with "8-track" sets.
