We have a small mom & pop shop here that has the best donuts I've had (and I have tried a lot of places). Yes, they have becan/maple donuts!!

Way back when in Pendleton, OR, there was a donut shot called "Up Your Donut" and it had the best stuff ever. They would allow the donuts to grow before they were baked, so they were fluffy and spongy and soft, and BIG.
 
Their best? One that had Peanut Butter and Chocolate.
 
Sometime later, they changed the name of the donut shop to "Up With Donuts" ... but I do not knwo if they still are alive and still have the great stuff. But I do miss that Peanut Butter and Chocolate one ... it was awesome!

(On a funny note ... I just finished reading "Garcia - An American Lilfe", and it was a fine book. Through out the whole thing I thought that a take on Kesey and their stuff would be funny ... name a band "Test Acid" ... to go after the "Acid Test" idea! it would have to be a metal band, I guess, or at least very a bit harsh and weird?)

I would think any band with the word "Acid" in its name would have to be either a jazz fusion effort or a trance group.
