Klamath Falls Oregon has one of the worst midge problems anywhere, but it's 300 miles south of here and easily avoided.

Great drive, took a less travelled route up the eastern edge which had some great vistas. Went through Widdicombe then on to Princetown. I really must get up there more often.

Boy was the venue hot! I felt for the band under the lights. They were superb as usual. Olivia was looking and singing like an angle, Bryan's contrasting gruff vocals and gilmoresque guitar setting it off.

I had forgotten how good a drummer Alex Cromarty is.

Well there were midges as we strolled along the banks of the Tavy waiting for the venue to open, but not the carnivorous Scottish type.

I remember holidaying at Kyle of Loch Aish and it wasn't safe to venture outside in the evening, had to watch the sunset over Skye from the B&B window.
