I'm with you brother, get he fix out as quick as possible, then shut everything down, the servers the forums everything, and let everyone move on. There are already other forums set up, many/most users have already moved on, it's just prolonging false hope as you can see by the weird and wonderful theories and rescue attempt ideas floating around.
 
Cakewalk and SONAR are dead, finished, they ar e gone, there isn't going to be a resurrection, as Anderton said, "Gibson didn't kill Cakewalk, they just buried it" Gibson has buried many things before, not sold, buried, Optcode (whatever), Slingerland and the list goes on.
 
I moved on 3 years ago, I just want the activation thingy if there is going to be one for completion/closure.

Yep - That activation code is the one thing we need, and I dare to say: "We need it now".
 
Sonar is simply abandon-ware, and there is no way anyone is going to made any money with - Ever. So there is no reason why they could not give the activation code/program to activate everything. Even if people that have not bought the program could use it to activate a "borrowed" version, there is nothing Gibson or the remaining shell of the former Cakewalk could loose. Sonar and all the plugins associated will not longer generate any income in any form, so giving the activation code/program is going to hurt nobody and no-one.

Well we have been told that it will be given to us before the servers go down, and i think they will , for the simple reason that even in my small little island we have like 200 prgrammers graduating every year ,so i`m sure ill find a good deed from one of them if needed.
