Hey folks,
I am trying to use Dim-Pro as a multi-timbral... Is it possible to load one of the 4 elements with a "program" i created previously in Dim-Pro?
Is this possible?

In othher words....I have a layered kick i created previously on dim and I want to load it in one of my elements while using dim as a multi-timbral

Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

if you are asking what I think you are asking...no. Best bet is to load that program while in multimtimbral mode and delete the other elements and save as a new program

You can save individual elements using the 'Save Element As...' menu option on the Element button - E1, E2, etc. Therefore you could save your layered kick (if it's in a single element) and load it into as many programs as you like.

In Dimension Pro click on the Options button (looks like a screwdriver... 2nd button to the right of the program name). Select Set Program as Multitimbral. There's limitations... you can assign each of the 4 elements to a different sound and you have to access them on channels 1, 2, 3, and 4.

No, you can't do that because a Program in Dim Pro consists of the four elements. You can't load a Program into an element. While technically Dim Pro can be multitimbral, it's much easier to use by having a separate instance for each sound you want to have in your project.

Thank you. I also read somewhere that using multiple instances of DimPro isn't too taxing on your system. It looks like running several instances might be the best option.

Haha, yeah you can't trick DimPro like that, an element is one sound source.

Just bring up another instance and echo the track if you need a dual sound. I use several instances of it quite often.
