I was wondering if there is a "mastering" eq included with Sonar. I know there are a few different EQ's, but not sure if any of them were designed specifically towards mastering.

If not, I have the free version of IK Multimedia's mastering EQ. Not sure how well regarded it is though.  It was free so I grabbed it.

Yea, the LP stuff (and concrete limiter) are SONAR's mastering tools.  They are Linear Phase and there is latency w/ their use, so mastering is what they are most useful for.

I've never used them since I have Voxengo's stuff for that purpose, as well as hardware.

Yes, at least the two Cakewalk LP plugins. The LP-64 MultiBand is Cakewalk's multiband compressor intended for mixing/mastering just like the LP-64 EQ is their mixing/mastering equalizer.

Yes. The "LP" stands for "Linear Phase" which very basically stops the slight phasing issues that usually affect EQs and other processors. As a result they tend to be more transparent. Also because of the way they work they are more CPU intensive which is why they are not the first choice for tracking purposes.

I quite like the sound of the LP64

But, many experienced Mastering Engineers don't use them at all (LP's), instead they seem to favour Minimum Phase EQ's

I'm nowhere near experienced enough with the mastering side of things to even comment - just throwing this one on the table for dissection

That IK free Eq is really more for tracks. They also have a LP Eq...guess you can use whatever you want though.
