Might be a good idea to turn off autosaves during tracking ?


That won't make a lot of difference. Despite popular belief Autosave won't save while the transport is running. It will wait until it stops and then make a save if one is due.

I thought having the two separated would make it so the HDDs didn't have to work as hard.
Hey Beepster... no, that's just for project audio, streaming sample audio, and the picture cache. The project files/audio should be on it's own drive, the streaming samples on another drive, and keep the picture cache on the first drive with the OS/software/plug-ins.

Thanks, Scott. I do seem to recall that being mentioned in X1 Power but it was counter to what I THOUGHT I had read elsewhere. I think I was confusing the actual program for the project files. So essentially I was just being a pigheaded doofus. lol

I've got a LOT of folder cleaning to do now. :-/
