Nice opening tone.

The mix works quite well here though some of the vocals seem a little harsh in the chorus in particular.  Subject not appropriate for me to comment on.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks John!  we appreciate the listen and comments!

when you say "harsh" do you have any way of explaining that further?  we'd be glad to look into what you mean, if we can understand what you mean!

thanks a lot for listening!

cool tune...and I think it's in the vox that is too edgy...grainy if you will...hard to say why w/o looking at the project...but its worst w/the bvox...so I'd look there first...

Wookie and Pogue, thank you for listening and your comments. I will go back and isolate the BGVs to see if I can hear what you are referring too. I was giving my ears a rest from this song for a couple of days right now....I worked this one pretty hard.

This is a beautifully written and played song with a great message. This is just a special song - I really love it.

Mark,

Bless you man, you really made my morning when I read this.  Comment's like that make all the effort worth it at the end of the day.  I know that I will probably never go anywhere with the music that I write and record, but having someone else truly say that they love the song, makes it worth the effort to create.

Working with this group of guys just makes the music that much better.  They bring talents to the table that I lack.  I have found that working with great tracks of instruments and vocals, makes this stuff almost mix itself.

Hats off to Sean for writing this beautiful song.  He had to be talked into recording it because he didn't think it was good enough.  It touched me right off, the first time I heard it and both Reece and I really wanted him to finish the song.  This one took the longest of the 3 that we have put up so far.  Lots of rework on tracks, melody, vocals, etc., but very worth it in the end. I think I will probably appreciate the song even more, when I have had a chance to walk away from it for a while.  No kidding, I have probably listened to the song 300 times while working with it.    It's almost there, though...a couple small EQ tweaks is all I think it needs. Hopefully!

Thanks again Mark, for making my morning.  I hope others will enjoy this song as well.

I thought I could hear a slight resonance in some of the higher parts of the chorus, as if some of the harmonies are clashing ever so slightly, perhaps a little light compression from say the PC2A with its screw turned down a bit or a little surgical EQ just to drop them a little.

Wookie/ Pogue,

I did some EQ work on this, using suggestions from Reece, and have posted a new copy at Sound Cloud.  Let us know if this has rid the harshness that you were hearing.  We appreciated every ones input.  Thanks again.

Same link from the 1st post? Either my ears are less furry today or you have taken that edge off
