Does anyone know if a varispeed VST plug in exists... that is, for the master bus, a way to tune and adjust speed of the entire track like existed on those great STUDER tape decks in the 70s and 80s?

I am not looking to adjust a note within a track rather I want to adjust the entire track's pitch and tempo simultaneously... turn it to the left, the track tempo slows down and the pitch of everything gets lower and vice versa by turning the knob to the right?

Thanks in advance,
Jim

I've never heard of one. Many have asked for a Tempo wheel. My old Tascam cassette recorder had one. The Scrub tool will do that when it works for editing, but that's not not what you want.

I dont know if this will help.. but you can either bounce the whole track then groove clip the track ,then use the tempo map to adjust the tempo up and down then add a plugin that will pitch shift or transpose and the audio via automation then bounce again.

This will give you a similar feature.  Haven't tried it in X1 yet but it worked fine 8.5.3.  It will actually work in real time on the Master buss.

Anybody get the pitchworx plugin to download?  If so, could you send me a copy?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi Bitman, I might also find the pitchworx plugin useful - I've turned almost every stone but so far i've had no luck. I need something that varies playback like altering the angular velocity of a record, and that can be controlled by envelope. Pitch shift and/or time stretch are ubiquitous, but I don't need those very much.
