I also have been running V-Vocal without issues since version 6PE

BUT - I've been trying to apply it to a couple of clips recently and this has resulted in an instant crash. I've sent the bug report to Cakewalk (no answer yet)

These 2 clips have good level, are clean, free of bleed and monophonic.

I've tried everything I know of - including copying them to a blank project and attempting to do the VV work there.

This has worked out fine for 1 clip but not the other.

That's so odd, that it should work okay for you for so long, and then suddenly change.  I did see your thread about it, but could think of nothing to add.

Is it jsut these two clips?  What are they?   Have you used it since on other clips?.

I'm another one in the "never had a problem with it" camp but it does seem to be one of those "works fine or doesn't work at all" features.

They are both short sections of palm muted guitar. The palm muting had the effect of raising the pitch by a few cents, enough to totally throw it off against the bass.

I'm going to try again on another project tonight, one with vocals, see what happens with this.

If necessary, I'll do a complete reinstall of Sonar, as I have ZERO plans on going down the Melodyne/Auto-tune route.

I guess see if works okay on the vocal clips.  If it does, then maybe it's something to do with the added percussive-ness of palm muting?  Just thinking out loud.

If it crashes on the vocal clips, then I guess un-install, re-install may be best way to go, looking at lawajava's post above.

I remember seeing a very detailed set of instructions for doing this somewhere, can't remember where..

Good luck, tell us what happens.

I most certainly will!

I have the detailed uninstall document here (I wrote most of it!)

I need to get this working as I rely on V-Vocal for lots of things, not just pitch correcting vocals

It was your list I was referring to, hence the wink.

I use it on bass quite a bit.  I've even fixed the odd bum note/bad bend in a guitar part before.

I have an old acoustic bass that I love, but it's intonation is a little wayward, so VVocal comes in very handy.

It crashes Sonar upon launch, without fail.
Guess I will go the uninstall / reinstall route.

Thanks for the feedback!

It crashes Sonar on launch without fail. I went melodyne route after my CWBN was transfered to development years ago and it not being addressed in the following couple of updates. Melodyne Editor is way better

I have Melodyne editor but it isn't without issues.

Many of my projects have tempo changes and Melodyne usually get's out-of-sync after a tempo-change. Annoying as heck.
I was going to give V-Vocal another shot for some light tuning, to see if it handled tempo-variation with more grace.
