Just save to clips and move on. If you have to undo it, the original is still there.

For me, the underlying (original) clip is NEVER muted automatically like it used to be.  So on playback I hear both the corrected and original clip unless I manually mute the underlying clip.  I've seen a few other posts complaining about this behavior, but not sure yet why it's different for some of us.

I have submitted a bug report, and at Cakewalk's request uploaded a sample project showing the issue, but haven't heard anything since.

Lately I've been running into this too, even worse sometimes I hear the original as I'm working on the correction trying to hear that's its right. Makes things impossible. It is intermittent and does work fine sometimes.

Computer specs? Run disk and memory scans. You may have a hardware issue.

BCnSTL - like I mentioned above the uninstall / reinstall completely fixed it for me.  Do a search on uninstall and you'll probably find several threads with the uninstall steps.
