The topic pretty much covers the question - When I purchase the upgraded Sonar Cakewalk package, should I uninstall Sonar LE before downloading the new software?
Thanks!

Although not necessary, I would uninstall SONAR LE. There is no need for SONAR LE when you purchase any other SONAR software.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if the new software would just overwrite the old, or if it would be better to start 'fresh'.
Actually, I just got Sonar LE when I purchased an Allen and Heath Zed 16R mixer and I haven't fully set everything up yet. I'm aware that Sonar had gone from Version X1 to version X2 on all its products, so I thought, 'Why go through all the trouble of getting into the LE X1 when I know I'm going to upgrade?"
I figure I'll have ne preconceptions going into X2.

i have upgraded and just let x1 le where it is. nothing will be overwritten while upgrading. still the decision is up to you, but i just like to have the le as backup, for whatever reason ;-)
