Heroics
HI all

I am about to purchase ,either a HP elite book , or a macbook pro retina .......the mac gives me more compatibility among my friends who use all mac ....

I am wondering ,if SONARX2 runs flawless and PRO like under bootcamp on new macbook pros ....

I installed sonar X2 ona macbook pro intel duo with W7 ultimate,it had popps and crackles in sonar ; but only when i scrolled something or moved a clip ...so it had to do with its grafix card ????
I was kinda shocked .............I hope with new macs this is not like this .

kindest regards

any one has a clue ? and REALY knows it ?

I can't comment on the HP Elite, or the newest MacBook Pro's, but I run X2 on my bootcamped
2011 macbook with no problems at all.  You might want to factor in a 7200rpm hd though,
the standard 5400 drives are pretty useless for audio work under bootcamp.
There is the  option to replace the DVD drive with a second HD for audio, and use a usb
DVD drive instead, but this could raise portability issues.

But generally, yeah, everything runs smoothly here.

Of course, I'm sure there are others that have had nothing but hell with it h'ha

I thought about it, but went with a laptop designed for audio engineering and included more than one hard drive...  It's been a great decision for me.
