I have always used my PODXT in ASIO mon in Sonar.  But now in ASIO my POD is greyed out and I can only use it in WDM mode.  Anyone else having this issue?

Make sure that no other ASIO devices are selected as an input or output. You can only use one ASIO device at a time in total. For example, if you have an audio interface selected as an input, you will not be able to select the POD's ASIO driver for output as the only selectable output would be for the audio interface.

I had this issue using windows 7. The problem was with my Pod 3 pro after a windows update. When I would switch audio interfaces The Pod remained greyed out. I would call up preferences by hitting P and then I would  uncheck the vs-100. With no audio hardware selected the Pod still remained greyed out. when I unplugged the vs-100 from the computer the Pod came back. it was bugging and it would cause Sonar to lock up.

After a bunch of troubleshooting I found the solution to the problem was simple. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them again. This fixed the problem. While your in the process of doing this you might as well make sure you got the latest drivers for your Podxt.

If you have other hardware plugged in try unplugging it to see if the Podxt comes back back as a recording device. It would also be nice to see your system specs.

Will "checking" the Share Drivers in Preferences help at all.

Not sure if thats what it means when its checked or not but might be worth a shot.

I never use my PODXT's ASIO drivers...it is pretty much a dongle for POD farm now.

But I do not see them as a choice in Sonar.  When I open Guitar Rig Stand alone they are a choice there...interesting but not sometihng I will lose any sleep over.

I wonder if he is running a seperate interface.

I always go from the Left and Right XLR Outputs into my interface, never plug X3 into computer unless Im jacking with some presets.
