And other things as well. I wanted to set magnetic strength to low to make Snap work (like _that_ makes sense) and did so. But if I close and reopen even a piece of music, let alone SONAR, it has reverted top strong. This seems to be happening with a lot of stuff that I thought should stick, such as time format display. Is there anything I should be doing differently?....Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the reply. I do not really know what I am doing, but I tried Save As to get a project template, and then tried Export to a track template. I actually saved the whole project just for this trial. However, trying to open a new Normal Project Template or importing the Track Template still lost me the settings.

So. Step by step. I opened a new project, deleted all tracks except one MIDI track, set the Snap settings to my needs. Saved As a Project Template called Normal. Started a new project and asked for the Normal template. Settings are lost. So I tried using a track template. That brought up a view that had a non-dockable piano roll view, and still lost the settings.

Most things in Sonar have the ability to save the settings in a preset. If the preset option is available, it should save. 

I know the plugs have presets. I don't use Snap other than on the defaults.... but I will look next time I'm in the DAW. 

On a preset, I always give it a new name. 

It could be that you are not saving your created template projects to the proper place. 

This is not right, in saving a project and not being able to load it with all the settings intact. Something is wrong some how. 

Hi Nick... try this...

1. Open a new project.
2. Set it up as you'd like.
3. Choose File > Save As.
4. In the dialog box, for the Save As Type parameter, choose Template.
5. Type in a new name for the template OR choose an existing template to replace it. For example, if you'd like to replace the Normal template, choose Normal.cwt.
6. Click Save.

Now when you go to open a new project again using that same template, you should see it set up as you save it.
