I don't need any metal and I will wait for the price drop on the Prog Foundry. (Did I read 80 GB for Prog Foundry?)  Would love to hear your wisdom and experience.

Kind of leaning towards Custom and Vintage or Indiependent. Not a hard lean though. Not really set on any genre.

Progressive Foundry is my fav...and yes...it is almost 80 gb...

Custom & Vintage is a good one too...

Also the Rock Warehouse...

New York Studios 1, 2, and 3...all good...

Most versatile is probably C&V...

80 GB's!! Holy crap! I have not read a review where they weren't drooling over it. Lars, I know you have been dehydrated for about 6 months.

Do you have any others?  If not, I'd go for the Custom & Vintage to round out your library (Since the stock library - NY1- already covers "modern-sounding" fairly well).

Sorry, I should have mentioned I don't have any. The C&V does seem like a can't loose, really. Would seem to cover a lot of drums used in Indie music. I do have a stink load of EZX's.

I have all three NY Studios libraries, all good. Plus I do jazz, and the roots bundle (or sticks only) is very good, too.
thinking about Indiependant while they are on sale, however, or Custom and Vintage (which is what I'm learning towards).

My kids will probably get me another coffee mug. I like your idea better.

yah, the operative phrase is "my idea".  "It's the thought that counts". Unless the thought is "get him something he want" I don't count the thought. My shameless strategy is put on a big spread with dad's famous ribs, homemade potato salad and garlic toast, maybe some wings. Using guilt for extortion never really hurt anyone.

I have a lot of the EZX and SDX librarys but I have found that N.Y. Studios Vol.3 has become an almost permanent fixture in my projects. Great kits, great room sound, plus a great plate reverb thrown in. The only time I reach for another kit is if I need brushes for a softer tune. The best investment I have ever made and I have to cover all kinds of music on a daily basis. Check it out!
