For blatantly using words, references and euphemisms for the male appendage in THIS THREAD?
 
As well as "humorously" posting five word sentences where the initial letter of each word, in sequence, were P, E, N, I and S?
 
How come I got a week's ban for the perceived over-use using the correct anatomical word for said appendage, yet all the forum hosts' 'mates' remain immune to censure? The mods/hosts must be perfectly aware of said infractions in the Mild Tourettes thread because it was locked.

Let me make it abundantly clear, I do not wish, nor am I calling for, anyone to be banned. I would never report any of you for something so banal as this anyway.
 
All I am asking for is an explanation as to why I got a ban, yet nothing in that thread seems to have justified one.

I have no qualms about my ban for over-use of a word that was obviously offensive to some. I served my time, and haven't used the word since. All is cool with me.
 
 
 
 
 

I haven't read the thread in question, but IME there's no reason to believe that forum moderators on any forum would be evenhanded in their enforcement of any "violations".
 
Especially if no one complains about one thing vs. another.
 
That indeed makes the lines of "acceptable" behavior unclear, so if one wishes to get close to the line one takes their chances.

The only objectionable word I saw was Extemporaneous. But I do agree with the OP. In this day and age a banning for the word penis seems somewhat ridiculous. Also, there is a great deal of favouritism shown to certain inhabitants of the forums.

Another thought. I feel when a thread gets locked the locker should be named along with the reason. Not usually required for banning because, well, it's usually pretty obvious.

Word. (And not the one that starts with P and ends with ENIS)
