Hi everyone,

I made a 12 minute video on how you can take an audio drum kit and turn it into a midi kit. Most advanced Sonar users know how to do this, but to me, it was a tip worth mentioning for those who may not know how to do this. Simple yet VERY effective. Check it out if you get a minute. I'm not much of a "proper" tutorial guy, but you'll get a few laughs out of me as well as the human factor...mistakes and all. :)

Great Job Danny

Im with you on the Note not showing (C3, D3, ...)  It would be nice to have that.

My way around that is to bring up PRV after the paste of midi, make sure the track is selected and drag everything to the Snare, HH, ... as listed to where I want it LOL.  Knowing the note would make it easier though huh?

I've always wished for a user preset capability for Audiosnap so you could eventually just load the Kick, Closed Hat, Snare, etc presets.

Great job Danny. I think this version is easier to follow than most of it's kind. It's not full of jargon and does not try and shove every feature of audiosnap down the viewer's throat in one sitting. Well done

Danny, you are the hardest working man I know!  You've done Sonar users a great service, and I thank you.

You guys are too kind. Thanks a lot. I got quite a few of these smaller vids I can probably share if you don't mind my goofy accent and mistakes etc. :) I've always felt (though it may not be good for a corporate company) that someone being a human being allows people to learn, and the humor/mistakes make it a bit more interesting and entertaining than some monotone dude with no sense of humor trying to sell you something. :) My students seem to like that approach as they see I make mistakes too and am far from perfect. The day we're not intimidated or lost in learning....is the day we actually learn in my opinion. :) Thaks again everyone. :)

Great video Danny!

Yet another feature that in all the 20+ years of using Cakewalk/Sonar, didn't even know it was there.  Could've actually used that on a previous project, but at least I know now.

Thanks!!

P.S. Really enjoyed your music as well.  Lots of luck to you.

Props Danny;
You're teaching style is to be commended. People who genuinely want to learn make better connection with a humble person such as yourself.
